RULES BELOW
New Child Forms Policy
EVERY child/children in Child-Watch must have a New Child Form filled out on him/her before they are allowed in Child-Watch. We will not take children if he/she does not have a New Child Form. You can get a New Child Form from the front desk in the main building or at Child-Watch from one of the staff. Please be sure to fill out all areas of the form!
Age Policy
Child-Watch is offered for ages 6 months - 10 years of age. No child/children younger than 6 months or older than 10 years are allowed in the Child-Watch area.

Food/Snack Policy
We do not provide snack for any child/children in Child-Watch. However, snacks are allowed to be brought from home. We ask that any food or drink from home be labeled with your child/children’s name and only plastic containers are allowed in Child-Watch. Children are also not allowed to share food or drinks unless permitted by the parent/legal guardian.
Toys/Electronics Policy
We ask that you do not let your child/children bring toys or electronics of any kind to Child-Watch. Rc3 cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items. We do not have a TV in Child-Watch because we want to promote healthy play outside of technology.

Sick Policy
No sick children, please! If your child has had a fever, diarrhea, rash, cold/flu like symptoms, lice, or any other contagious disease in the last 24 hours, they are NOT permitted in Child-Watch.

Late Policy
We have various closing times for our Child-watch program. However, if a child is not picked up by the appropriate closing time and the staff has not been contacted by the parent/legal guardian then we will take the following measures:
-
Staff will try to contact parents/legal guardian to determine pick-up time.
-
If contact cannot be made, the staff will contact the alternative authorized pick-ups on the New Child Form

Arrival/Departure Policy
Upon arrival, parents are required to sign in their child/children. Please make sure all the slots on the sign in/out sheet are filled in. Upon departure, parents are required to sign their child/children out.

Alternative Pick-Up Policy
If a child/children are to be picked up by someone other than the parent/legal guardian then they must be listed on the authorized pick-up list on the New Child Form. If a person who is not on the list is sent to pick up the child, we will need written or oral permission from the parent. We will also need to verify by proper identification the person picking up the child/children.
*Siblings are also not allowed to pick-up unless listed on the authorized pick-up list on the New Child Form.
Behavior Management Policy
Your child must be able to function in a group setting as we are not equipped to provide one on one care. However, if behavioral issues occur, our philosophy is to help children learn values, problem solving skills and to take responsibility for their own choices. Some methods our staff will use to manage behavioral issues include:
-
Redirection/Distraction
-
Verbal Intervention
-
Take a Break/Time-Out
*If there is persistent bad, inappropriate, or aggressive (i.e biting, scratching, hitting another child) behavior from any child/children the following will occur:
-
Behavior will be documented and the parent/legal guardian must sign the documentation sheet.
-
The parent will be contacted to come pick up the child/children. If the parent does not come within 15 minutes of being contacted, the child will be escorted to the parent by a staff member.
-
In regards to aggressive behavior: After the second aggressive act, staff will determine a plan of action to include a 7 day suspension from Childwatch. When the child returns after suspension, if another aggressive incident takes place, at the discretion of the staff, further suspension will take place.

Bathroom Policy
Rc3 staff is NOT allowed to change diapers and will notify parent/legal guardian if a child requires a change. We do ask that potty-trained children be independent in the bathroom. In the circumstance that a potty-trained child needs assistance, the parent will be contacted. If the parent is unable to tend to the child quickly, the Child-Watch staff will receive permission from the parent to assist the child.
Bathroom Procedure:
When Child-Watch is in the annex and a child 4 years old or younger is using the bathroom, the door will be propped open by the door stop and a Child-Watch staff will stand outside. If the child requires assistance, another staff will stand by. In the main building bathroom, Child-Watch staff will stand by with the door slightly open and will follow the above procedure.
***For this reason, we ask that parents/legal guardians stay within a ½ mile radius and take their phone/s when working-out off of Rc3 property.

Parental Concerns
We want our families to feel that they can share their concerns. If you have any questions, please talk with the Coordinator of the program. If you feel your questions have not been answered or your problem is not resolved, please contact the Membership/Front Desk Manager and or the Executive Director.
